The past few days have been especially cold, and I noticed that the heat output hasn't kept up. However instead of turning on a 500 Watt heater, maybe I could increase the output from my computer instead?
So I installed Folding@Home, which utilizes my computers spare CPU and GPU cycles to study diseases. Now, my UPS's output draw reads:
227 Watts. Enough to keep this room cozy, if I wear a sweater! I'll turn off Folding@Home once the weather is warm enough.
